Who we are

We Influence is a community-run meet-up for people working in and around the creator economy, based in London, UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, We Influence is the data controller for the information described in this notice. We are not currently an incorporated company; correspondence is via the contact page.

What we collect

When you sign up for the invite

Your email address, and the date you signed up. That’s it. We don’t collect your name, company, or job title at the point of signup unless you include it in a reply.

When you RSVP to a meet-up

If you RSVP through a third-party service (for example Luma), that service collects your information under its own privacy policy. We receive a list of names and email addresses of attendees for the evening only.

When you contact us

Whatever you put in the contact form, plus the reply channel you gave us. We hold onto these threads so we don’t forget context, but we don’t mine them for marketing.

When you visit this site

Our analytics provider (Vercel Analytics) records anonymous page-view data only when you’ve accepted analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no session replay. See the cookie policy.

Why we collect it

Two purposes only:

• To send you the meet-up invite when we have a date. Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by signing up and can withdraw at any time.
• To understand which pages on this site get looked at so we can make it more useful. Lawful basis: your consent via the cookie banner.

We do not profile you, sell your data, or share it with sponsors or partners.

How long we keep it

Invite list email addresses

Until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after your last interaction with us — whichever comes first. [example]

RSVPs for a single evening

Deleted within 30 days of the evening. [example]

Contact-form submissions

Up to 24 months from the last reply, unless we’re still in conversation. [example]

Analytics data

As set by Vercel Analytics retention (see their policy).

Only the processors we genuinely need. Each one is listed below with what they do and why we use them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask what we hold about you (right of access).
• Ask us to correct it (rectification).
• Ask us to delete it (erasure / right to be forgotten).
• Ask us to export it (portability).
• Object to our use of it (objection).
• Withdraw your consent at any time (including by replying “unsubscribe” to any email).

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
