A plain-English account of what personal data We Influence holds, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how you can change or delete it.
Placeholder notice. The text below is a starting draft. Please have a UK-qualified solicitor review it before the site goes live. Anything marked [example] needs to be confirmed against how we actually operate.
We Influence is a community-run meet-up for people working in and around the creator economy, based in London, UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, We Influence is the data controller for the information described in this notice. We are not currently an incorporated company; correspondence is via the contact page.
Your email address, and the date you signed up. That’s it. We don’t collect your name, company, or job title at the point of signup unless you include it in a reply.
If you RSVP through a third-party service (for example Luma), that service collects your information under its own privacy policy. We receive a list of names and email addresses of attendees for the evening only.
Whatever you put in the contact form, plus the reply channel you gave us. We hold onto these threads so we don’t forget context, but we don’t mine them for marketing.
Our analytics provider (Vercel Analytics) records anonymous page-view data only when you’ve accepted analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no session replay. See the cookie policy.
Two purposes only:
We do not profile you, sell your data, or share it with sponsors or partners.
Only the processors we genuinely need. Each one is listed below with what they do and why we use them.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
Use the contact page and pick the Privacy topic. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
See the cookie policy. Short version: one consent cookie, one set of anonymous analytics cookies (only if you accept), and nothing else.
If we change anything material we’ll bump the version number and note the change at the top. If it affects how we handle existing data, we’ll email you first.
Any questions: use the contact page and pick the Privacy topic.
