Who we are

We Influence is a London meet-up. For UK GDPR, We Influence is the data controller for the information described here. We are not currently incorporated; contact us via the contact page.

What we collect

When you sign up for the invite

Your email address and signup date. We collect your name only if you give it to us.

When you RSVP to a meet-up

If you RSVP through another service, that service uses its own privacy policy. We receive the attendee list for the evening.

When you contact us

What you send us, plus the reply address you give us. We keep the thread so we can reply properly.

When you visit this site

Vercel Analytics records anonymous page views only if you accept analytics. No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or session replay.

Why we collect it

Two purposes only:

• To send invites. Lawful basis: consent.
• To see which pages are read. Lawful basis: consent via the cookie banner.

We do not profile you, sell your data, or share it with sponsors or partners.

How long we keep it

Invite list email addresses

Until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after your last interaction with us, whichever comes first.

RSVPs for a single evening

Deleted within 30 days of the evening.

Contact-form submissions

Up to 24 months from the last reply, unless we are still in conversation.

Analytics data

As set by Vercel Analytics retention (see their policy).

Only the services we need to run the site and the meet-up.

Vercel (USA / EU)

Hosting + analytics for this website. Data processor under our instructions.

Invite-list service

To be confirmed before launch. Sends meet-up invites.

RSVP service

To be confirmed before launch. Manages RSVPs.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• Show you what we hold.
• Correct it.
• Delete it.
• Export it.
• Stop using it.
• Withdraw consent.

Use the contact page and pick Privacy. We respond within 30 days.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change anything material we’ll bump the version number and note the change at the top. If it affects how we handle existing data, we’ll email you first.
